Weather & Tides in Homer, Alaska
Each trip is uniquely crafted with your safety in mind and the goal of optimizing an opportunity to catch fish.
Wind is usually the largest contributor to inclement weather. The greater the distance wind can travel across open water, the larger waves tend to be.
Additionally, Cook Inlet experiences some of the largest tide differentials in the world. With high to low tidal differentials exceeding 25 feet over 6 1/2 hours, the resulting water movement becomes a major contributor in determining when & where to fish.
